Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan’s popularity is once again rising across the seven seas. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), known as ‘The Academy’ or ‘Oscar Academy’ across the world, has paid a special tribute to Shah Rukh Khan through his iconic winning speech from his blockbuster film ‘Om Shanti Om’. Sharing the video, the Academy wrote, “One thing about luck… it never fails. Film: Om Shanti Om (2007).” For those who don’t know, let us tell you that Shahrukh Khan gave this winning speech during a scene at the Filmfare Awards in ‘Om Shanti Om’. After receiving the Best Actor award, his character Om Kapoor thanks everyone and gives an emotional speech.

Oscar Academy pays tribute to Shahrukh Khan with his famous ‘Om Shanti Om’ dialogue

In the clip posted by the Academy, Shah Rukh Khan’s character Om Kapoor is seen standing on the stage receiving the award and saying, “They say, if you love something with all your heart, then the entire universe is trying to make it happen to you.” The audience applauded loudly at his speech.

About ‘Om Shanti Om’

‘Om Shanti Om’ is a 2007 film, which was directed by Farah Khan. It included a large team of actors including Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Arjun Rampal, Kirron Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Satish Shah and others. This Bollywood film proved to be a huge blockbuster and received rave reviews from both audiences and critics.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 148.20 crore worldwide. Of this, Rs 105.63 crore was earned in India and Rs 78.25 crore was earned from abroad.
