Whenever it comes to body transformation in Indian cinema, actors often talk about weight loss or bodybuilding. But this time global star Jr NTR has done something which has surprised both fitness experts and fans. For his upcoming film ‘Dragon’ (directed by Prashant Neel), he has lost 9.5 kg of muscle mass in just 7 weeks. Recently, a picture of his shared on Instagram has created a stir on the internet, in which he looks more absorbed and agile than ever.
This is exactly what is happening with Jr NTR right now. The actor has secretly shared a new picture of himself on Instagram, which people are surprised to see. This is for his upcoming film ‘Dragon’, which is being directed by Prashanth Neel. And yes, this change is very real.
Jr NTR’s lean transformation for ‘Dragon’
The picture looks simple but does its job well. Jr NTR is seen in a special pose, in which he has given the classic ‘double biceps’ pose. The photo is taken from the back, so the focus is very clear. Back. Arms. Shoulder. Everything looks tighter and more polished. The symmetry of the muscles is clearly visible without much effort.

He is wearing light gray workout shorts and is standing inside the gym. The background is a little blurry, but you can still make out the gym equipment. This makes the whole atmosphere even more wonderful. Clean and neat. Focused. No distractions. The caption says it all. Short and straight. “Made. Not bought.”
Jr NTR loses 9.5 kg of muscle in just 7 weeks
Now here’s the thing that really catches everyone’s attention. According to his trainer Kumar Mannava, Jr NTR has lost 9.5 kg of muscle mass. Not fat. Muscles. And all this happened in just seven weeks.
It was not just about losing weight. The goal was something else. According to a report in Deccan Chronicle, the idea was to create a leaner and more agile body for the role.
Changes made in workout and diet behind Jr NTR’s transformation
To achieve this goal, the entire routine had to be changed. Workouts that build heavy muscles were reduced. Instead, the focus shifted to ‘functional training’, more ‘cardio’ and lighter ‘resistance work’.

His schedule was very tight. There were training sessions every day, early in the morning. Each session lasted 45 to 90 minutes, depending on whether the focus was more on cardio or strength that day.
Similar changes were made in the diet also. Instead of sticking to a high-protein diet—which usually helps build muscle—Jr NTR did just the opposite. Consuming less protein helped him lose the muscle he had built over time.
It seems easy to read. But it is not. Seven weeks. So much discipline. And a very special goal. The result of this is clearly visible in the picture.
