There is a big good news for Miles Morales fans. The official release date of the most anticipated and final chapter of the animated Spider-Man trilogy, ‘Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse’ has been announced. As per the announcement made at CinemaCon, the film will hit the big screens on June 18, 2027. Even though there is still a long wait of three years left for the film, the first look pictures released by Sony Pictures have created a sensation on the internet.
How will the story of ‘Beyond the Spider-Verse’ be?
This film will start from where the climax of the 2023 superhit film ‘Across the Spider-Verse’ left off. In the story, Miles Morales is trapped in a parallel universe where everything is upside down. Miles discovers that in another world his own version is a villain named ‘Prowler’. She is in a world where her Uncle Aaron is alive, but the villain ‘Spot’ is planning to eliminate her father in Miles’ real world. Sony has confirmed that the film has been designed specifically for IMAX, giving audiences the most immersive experience of the multiverse.
Release date and what to expect
Sony has confirmed that Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse will be released worldwide in June 2027, and the film is reportedly designed for an IMAX viewing experience. The story will pick up where 2023’s Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse left off, and continue Miles Morales’ complex journey through parallel worlds.

The previous film ended with a twist, where Miles discovered that he had another version of himself in a different world, becoming a villain named Prowler. In the upcoming film, Miles is shown to be stuck in a difficult situation. He is transported to another world where his Uncle Aaron is alive and has taken the place of his father, who is now considered a villain. Meanwhile, in her own world, the villain Spot is out to harm her father.

Both Spider-Verse films have received tremendous success from both fans and critics. The first Spider-Verse film won the Academy Award for ‘Best Animated Feature Film’, while the second film has also received critical acclaim.
