Both sisters have made extensive contributions to the music world. Hridaynath Mangeshkar, brother of Lanta Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle, has announced to build a hospital in the memory of his sisters. A hospital will be built in Pune in the memory of Lata and Asha sisters, known as the heroes of music, and it will be the largest hospital in Asia.
‘Mother and elder sister Lata Mangeshkar had seen the dream’
Hridaynath Mangeshkar has told that his mother and elder sister Lata Mangeshkar had dreamed of building a hospital to serve the poor. He told that about 25 years ago the family and doctors tried their best to build this hospital, but at that time this dream could not be fulfilled. Hridaynath said that later the family had decided that this hospital would be built in the name of Lata Mangeshkar and preparations for it had been started.
The hospital is inaugurated on 16th April
While talking to news agency IANS, Hridaynath Mangeshkar said that his endeavor is to make this hospital the largest in Asia. Hridaynath Mangeshkar said, ‘This decision was taken about 25 years ago. After the passing of Didi (Lata Mangeshkar), we felt that inspired by her thinking, this hospital should be built. It was decided that it would be named after him and we were planning to move forward accordingly. Its inauguration (Muhurat) was fixed on 16th. During this time, Asha Didi also died suddenly. In such a situation, it has now been decided that the hospital will not be named in honor of only one, but both Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle.
