The famous web series ‘Euphoria’ is once again in the center of discussion with its third season. This time the story takes a long time leap of five years, which shows the characters in more mature and complex situations. The early episodes of Season 3’s portrayal of OnlyFans and sex work in the digital age have sparked a new global debate. This time, the discussion revolves around digital-age sex work and OnlyFans’ growing presence in pop culture. In the early episodes, Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) is shown trying to get fame and money by using OnlyFans.
In a global roundtable hosted by India Today, actresses Martha Kelly and Chloe Cherry weighed in on one of the season’s hottest questions: Is OnlyFans empowering women, or exploiting them?

Cherry protected itself from imposing any outside opinion on this. He said, “My personal opinion on this is that you have to ask the artists themselves who work on OnlyFans whether they feel that they are being exploited or do they feel empowered.” He added, “I don’t think it’s my job, as someone who doesn’t work at OnlyFans, to have an opinion on this.”

Additionally, she also acknowledged that there has been a major cultural change in the way sex work is viewed. Kelly said, “I’m really glad that there’s a growing view that sex work is a real job, and that the men and women who do it should be paid, and they should be safe.” Taking a strong stance on the issue of safety and dignity, she added, “If people are making money from OnlyFans, and they’re safe, then I’m 100 percent with them.”
Kelly also drew a clear line between endorsement and personal preference. She said, “Even though I’ll never go on OnlyFans or create an account of my own—and God willing, I never will—I still believe people have a right to be safe.” He concluded by saying, “In my view, these are just human beings trying to earn their living.” Euphoria, from creator Sam Levinson, returns for its third season. In its early episodes, OnlyFans is shown not just as a part of the story, but as a way to look at questions of freedom, economic survival, and the blurred boundaries between empowerment and exploitation.
