Katherine Schwarzenegger remains a topic of discussion on social media these days. The affair started when she wrote a love note for her husband and Hollywood actor Chris Pratt. Which Catherine had posted as a joke and respect, it instantly sparked a big debate on gender roles and women’s freedom. This post has divided internet users into two groups.
What was that post of Catherine?
Katherine, 36, shared a video on Instagram, in which Chris Pratt is seen building a wooden dollhouse for his daughters. The song ‘Man I Need’ was playing in the background. Catherine wrote in the caption, ‘I never understand what women mean when they say that they do not need a husband. I need my husband very much, because who else will make dollhouses for our daughters?’
She also lovingly called Chris her golden retriever husband, but many people did not like her style.

Why did people get angry on social media?
Many users believe that Katherine’s words made it seem as if women cannot do anything on their own. One user commented, ‘You can make it yourself, you or your daughters are not helpless.’ Another wrote, ‘Today’s women can buy houses and vote, we can also do these small tasks ourselves.’ Critics said that Catherine had inadvertently undermined women’s self-reliance.
Fans also came to the rescue
However, not everyone was against Catherine. Many followers defended her, saying that marriage is a partnership and there is nothing wrong with needing each other. One user wrote, ‘Marriage itself means working together. Being dependent on each other is a sign of a healthy relationship.
Katherine has said many times before that she is very happy with her marriage with Chris. She once said that Chris has the power to make her laugh even in difficult times, for which she is always grateful to him.

Church meeting and film love story
The love story of Katherine and Chris is no less than a film. The two first met in a church in 2018. Their relationship progressed very quickly and in the same year they were seen together in public for the first time. In January 2019, Chris proposed to Katherine and a few months later, the two got married in a private ceremony in California. Today they have three children (Lyla, Eloise and Ford). Chris also has a son, Jack, from his first marriage.
