New Delhi. As soon as the teaser of Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’ came out, mixed reactions were being seen on social media. While on one hand people are excited for this grand cinematic experience, on the other hand the VFX of the teaser has disappointed many fans. Meanwhile, actor Sunil Lahiri, who played the memorable character of Laxman in Ramanand Sagar’s popular TV show Ramayana, has also given his frank opinion on the teaser of the film.

Sunil Lahiri told that some things in ‘Ramayana’ teaser have troubled him a lot. Commenting especially on Ranbir Kapoor’s look, he said that the innocence on his face is not visible, which is necessary for Shri Ram, the incarnation of Lord Vishnu. According to Sunil Lahiri, Ranbir’s look is not doing justice to the dignity and gentleness of this great character.

A little difficult to accept Ranbir Kapoor as ‘Ram’

Sunil Lahiri also agreed with those who feel that it is a bit difficult to accept Ranbir as Lord Ram after a violent film like ‘Animal’. He said, ‘Ranbir’s look looks a bit harsh, he would have looked better in the role of Laxman or Bharat. It is always better to choose a new face for such a role. An actor who does not have any old image or controversies is a perfect fit for this role.

The first part of ‘Ramayana’ will be released on Diwali.

Many stars are involved in Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’. While Ranbir Kapoor plays the role of Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi will be seen as Mother Sita. ‘KGF’ star Yash is playing the powerful role of Ravana in this film. Sunny Deol has been cast as Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Laxman in the film. Not only this, Kajal Aggarwal will be seen in the role of Mandodari and Rakul Preet Singh in the role of Shurpanakha in the film. The first part of the Ramayana film will hit the theaters on Diwali this year, while the second part will be released in Diwali 2027.
