Many celebrities including Shahrukh Khan, Rakesh Roshan and Karan Johar have spoken about receiving threats. In a recent conversation with Yuva, Varun Dhawan told how his family had also received threats from the underworld, due to which they had to leave their house and stay somewhere else for a day. He told that at that time people were getting calls from the underworld, and we were also getting them. We were receiving calls for a long time, but we did not realize it because the staff was arguing with the caller. The staff also gave us our complete address and told the person the place to meet and said, ‘Come and meet us in that garden, I will beat you there. What seemed almost ridiculous soon turned into a serious threat.
Varun further said that when the matter escalated, an actor called my dad and said that the matter has gone out of hand, and that person is now saying that he will bring guns and he knows our address and office timings. When my dad asked who said it, he said the name of the staff member. So we had to stay somewhere else that day. It sounds strange, but it is actually not so strange.
