Director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, who made films like The Kashmir Files and The Bengal Files, has announced his next big film. His new film will be based on Operation Sindoor. This film will show the true story of the April 2025 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir and India’s subsequent retaliatory military action. Vivek Agnihotri’s company and Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series are jointly producing this film.
What did Vivek Agnihotri say?
Announcing the film on social media, Vivek Agnihotri said that this story is completely based on ground research. He said, this is a story which changed the meaning of security in the entire region and exposed Pakistan’s nuclear claims.
This film is based on Lieutenant General K.J.S. Tiny Dhillon’s book is based on Operation Sindoor: The Untold Story of India’s Deep Strikes Inside Pakistan. According to Agnihotri, his aim is not to create noise, but to bring the reality to the world through cinema.

About Operation Sindoor
Operation Sindoor was a major military operation launched by India in May 2025. This operation was a response to the horrific terrorist attack that took place in Pahalgam on April 22, 2025, in which 26 tourists lost their lives. India had held The Resistance Front, a branch of Pakistan’s terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba, responsible for this attack.

India’s counter action
During this operation, the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force together launched a major attack. Indian brave men entered Pakistan and PoK and destroyed nine hideouts of terrorists. After this retaliatory action, there was heavy tension between India and Pakistan for four days, due to which blackouts and air strike sirens started resonating in the border areas.
