One of Disney Channel’s most popular shows, ‘Hannah Montana’ has completed two decades. To mark this special occasion, a grand red carpet premiere was organized at the historic El Capitan Theater in Los Angeles. The biggest shine of this event was Miley Cyrus herself, who not only arrived with her family, but also gave a unique tribute to her old identity ‘Hannah Montana’.

Miley was also joined at the premiere by her mother, Tish Cyrus, Tish’s husband Dominic Purcell, her sister Brandi Cyrus, and Brandi’s fiancé Matt Southcomb. Miley wore a custom-made Hannah Montana costume bearing her character’s image from the original series. The event served as a reunion for the cast and crew, celebrating two decades since the show first aired on Disney Channel in 2006.

The anniversary special, titled ‘Hannaversary’, will stream on Disney+ from March 24. It revisits memorable music and moments from the original series, and also includes never-before-seen archive footage. The show was shot in front of a live studio audience.
What to expect from this special
In the trailer for the special, Miley is seen visiting recreated sets such as Hannah Montana’s famous wardrobe and the Stewart family’s living room. He can be seen visiting these places with his mother, Tish Cyrus, and his father, Billy Ray Cyrus.

The program also includes an in-depth conversation between Miley Cyrus and ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast host Alex Cooper. Cooper described the show as defining an entire generation. Miley responded, “This anniversary is for them. It’s for us.”

Speaking on this experience, Miley said, “Hannah Montana will always be a part of my identity.” He further said that the show became a shared experience that shaped his life and the lives of many fans. This special celebrates this unbreakable bond.
The original Hannah Montana series ran from 2006 to 2011, and featured the story of a teenager named Miley Stewart who juggles her everyday life with her secret pop star identity. The show starred Emily Osment, Michelle Musso, and Jason Earles, and guest starred stars Dolly Parton, Brooke Shields, the Jonas Brothers, and Selena Gomez.
