The film depicts the character of gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed and his relations with Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI. Bihar minister supported the film

IANS questioned Samajwadi Party’s Moradabad MP Ruchi Veera on this film, but she did not respond and said, ‘Today we should talk about happiness and festivals. I have no knowledge about this film. After this she left in the car. At the same time, Bihar Minister Ram Kripal Yadav supported the film and said that ‘films show the incidents happening in the society and work to convey the truth to the people. There is nothing wrong in showing the story of Atiq Ahmed in the film. He wished all the best to the director, producer and artists of the film.

Is the film part of political propaganda?

Apart from this, Samajwadi Party MP Rajiv Rai alleged that such films are part of political propaganda and try to create an image in the minds of people. JDU spokesperson Neeraj Kumar said that the censor board should decide what is right to show and what is not. Also, Shiv Sena spokesperson Shaina NC said that the main objective of the film is entertainment and should not hurt anyone’s sentiments. Uttar Pradesh Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar also clarified that films are not made by the government, rather the filmmakers show the story as per their choice to the audience.
