The pairing of Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh and director Aditya Dhar has done what hardly anyone had imagined at the box office. His latest release ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ has created history at the domestic box office by collecting Rs 100 crore (net) on its very first day (Day 1). With this tremendous opening, Ranveer Singh has left behind blockbuster films like Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Jawaan’ and Prabhas’s ‘Kalki 2898 AD’.

Although the exact figures will be known only till Friday morning, but according to a report by Sacnilk, the film has earned around Rs 100 crore (net) on its opening day, which is more than the earnings of many big films in the domestic market. ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ has now overtaken films like Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Jawaan’ (2023), Prabhas’s ‘Adipurush’, ‘Saalaar: Cease Fire – Part 1’, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, Jr NTR’s ‘Devra: Part I’, and Rajinikanth’s ‘Coolie’.

This high-voltage political drama had earned Rs 43 crore (net) from its premiere show alone. Including these premiere collections, the total collection of the film after two days is Rs 143 crore (net).
‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ has created history for everyone associated with the film with its opening day performance. This is the biggest opening film of Ranveer Singh’s career, and also the biggest opening film of Aditya Dhar’s career so far.
Released on the occasion of Eid, the film is expected to benefit from a long opening weekend. Trade analysts estimate that the film will collect a net collection of around Rs 500 crore on the weekend from India alone. The film is also performing well overseas, and its earnings momentum will be the focus of attention this long weekend.

R. Starring Madhavan, Arjun Rampal and Rakesh Bedi, the film ‘Dhurandhar 2’ has received a largely positive response from both critics and audiences. This film is running to full house in most of the theaters and is also being discussed extensively on social media. India Today gave this film a 3.5 rating in its review. Part of the review reads, “Dhurandhar: The Revenge is a hard-hitting, political and completely character-driven film that doesn’t try to play safe at any point. Ranveer Singh is at the helm, and the film knows exactly what impact it wants to leave on the audience.”
