TV actress Deepika Kakkar is once again going through a difficult phase. Actually, after a few months of liver cancer treatment last year, Deepika has once again started having health problems. In a recent update, her husband and actor Shoaib Ibrahim told that a cyst has now formed in Deepika’s stomach and soon she will be admitted to the hospital for another surgery.
Deepika Kakkar’s health deteriorated again
Shoaib Ibrahim has shared an update on Deepika’s health in his latest YouTube vlog. In the video, Deepika and Shoaib were seen at a birthday party on Friday, but later the same night, Deepika’s health suddenly deteriorated. Talking about this, Shoaib said, “Today (Saturday) I spent the whole day in the hospital. Everything was fine till yesterday. Deepika had mild pain in her stomach for two days, which got worse on Friday night. So, we went to the doctor, he got a CT scan done, and we came to know that Deepika had another cyst of 13mm (1.3 cm).”
To this, Deepika said, “Along with the stomach, I have also been having pain in the shoulder since two days. It was a matter of concern for us. However, the doctors are saying that the pain in the left shoulder is not due to that.”
Deepika may undergo another surgery
Shoaib further revealed that Deepika may have to undergo surgery next week. He said, “Apart from this cyst, everything is normal. This is what we were afraid of. Last time, the doctor told us that there is a chance of recurrence of the poorly differentiated and very aggressive tumor. Even though it is still in the initial stage, it did not show in our PET scan in December. We have also got the blood reports done, and the range is a bit high. So the doctor decided to treat it. It has been decided that there will be no major surgery, but she will be in the hospital for 3-4 days, and we are happy that we found out at an early stage. Our success happened today.
Deepika Kakkar was scared
Deepika further admitted that she was scared initially, but is happy that she came to know about the cyst in time. Deepika further said, “Life is like that. People who are struggling like me, have to fight such difficulties as they come, and have to be determined and strong. Yes, you feel scared. I was also scared this morning, but I am happy that we came to know on time. I was advised last time. That regular follow-ups are very important, do not ignore even the slightest pain.”
Shoaib further told that after the surgery, there may be a big change in Deepika’s treatment plan, her oral chemotherapy will probably be stopped and immunotherapy will be given in its place.
Deepika was diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer in June 2025
