Actor Sidharth Malhotra’s father Sunil Malhotra passed away after prolonged illness. The actor gave this information. The actor paid tribute to his father on social media, saying, “He lived by values that never wavered, discipline without rigidity, strength without ego and positivity and all this at a time when life tested him beyond limits.” Malhotra also posted family pictures.
When Siddharth talked about his father’s health and his mother’s sacrifice
In March last year, Siddharth had opened up about his father’s long-running health problem during a conversation with Lilly Singh. He had told that Sunil Malhotra had been ill for some time and had admitted that he was ashamed of not fully accepting the sacrifice of his mother Rimma Malhotra.
He told, “My father has not been well for some time, and I sometimes get scared or angry, so I am a little strict on my mother because she takes care of the medicines.My father is not well enough to do that and that’s when I realized… We woke up one morning and were just having coffee and tea in Delhi and he started talking about 20 years ago… what he had to deal with when we were very young or when I wasn’t there or when I was trying to make a life for myself.”
She added, “She kept us from knowing what my father was going through, and I felt a little ashamed that I didn’t give her credit for my father’s health for so many years… During that time, my mother made so many sacrifices that I didn’t know about, and I had to treat her with much more sensitivity and love.”
Despite being a public figure, Sidharth has maintained privacy regarding this personal tragedy, and has chosen to grieve quietly with his family. Over the years, he has credited his parents for keeping him grounded despite the fame and pressures of the film industry.
Last year, on the occasion of Father’s Day, Sid had wished his father, calling him his ‘favorite hero’. “Happy Father’s Day, Dad! You have been my favorite hero since childhood and always will be!
