New Delhi: Nitish Bhardwaj, who played the role of Lord Krishna in BR Chopra’s ‘Mahabharata’, may be away from the TV world, but is being liked on OTT. He is seen as a presenter in his ‘Kesariya@100’ documentary on RSS Sangh. His voice and style of telling the story in the documentary is being appreciated a lot, but in the meantime he has met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Nitish Bhardwaj has posted pictures on his Instagram in which he is seen with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Chief Minister Yogi is giving a gift to the actor. He wrote in the caption, ‘Happy to meet UP CM Yogi Adityanath, who is my old Parliament colleague and a true supporter of Sanatan Dharma scriptures and Indian history. I feel honored to receive a special crystal idol of Lord Krishna from Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh.

Political career of Nitish Bhardwaj
Along with working on TV and stages, Nitish Bhardwaj has also participated in politics. The actor joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in 1996 and was elected MP from Jamshedpur, Jharkhand by the people. After this, he also contested elections from Rajgarh in Madhya Pradesh, but lost to Laxman, brother of the then Chief Minister Digvijay Singh. After not winning the elections, he worked as the party’s spokesperson for a long time, but then formally retired from the party. The actor says that after joining politics he was not able to concentrate on his career.

Nitish Bhardwaj is also working in a stage show called ‘Chakravyuh’, which is being organized in different cities. Nitish is playing the role of Lord Shri Krishna in the show.
