According to the latest reports, despite the theatrical ban in cinemas in Pakistan, the film is trending at number 1 on Netflix Pakistan. ‘Dhurandhar’ was not allowed to be released in theaters in Pakistan and Gulf countries due to its alleged “controversial” and “India-centric” espionage story. However, as soon as it was released on Netflix, Pakistani audiences have embraced it.
Despite this shortcoming, this film directed by Aditya Dhar earned more than Rs 1300 crore in foreign countries. Now that the film has been released on Netflix, and reportedly in Pakistan too, according to HT, the film is trending at the top spot on Dhurandhar OTT despite the theatrical ban.

Screenshots emerged on social media over the weekend showing Dhurandhar trending at number one in the movies category on Netflix Pakistan, ahead of other Bollywood movies like Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna starrer Tere Ishq Mein and Haq, as well as The Big Fake.

Danish Pandor, who played Akshaye Khanna’s brother Uzair Baloch in Dhurandhar, talked about the alleged ban on the film in the Gulf countries. He told India TV exclusively, “It should be released. That’s what I believe. I also talked to people, but I don’t know what is the real reason for it not releasing in UAE or many Gulf countries. I don’t know the specific reason behind it.
