An episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 17 (KBC 17) has created a stir on social media for the last two days. The reason for this is 10-year-old Ishit Bhatt, a resident of Gujarat… He had participated in this show as a child contestant. This little contestant sitting in front of Amitabh Bachchan was full of confidence. But with this confidence, the way he behaved with Big B made him ‘India’s most disliked child’ on the internet overnight.
Ishith Bhatt studies in fifth class. The confidence and speed with which he answered questions in KBC caught the attention of all the viewers, but many did not like his attitude. After this many people started trolling him.
Viral episode of ‘Overconfident Kid’
Ishit’s haste and enthusiastic tone in the show irritated many viewers. First he told Amitabh Bachchan in an arrogant tone that he knew all the rules and he should not repeat them, but come straight to the questions. Not only this, when the turn came to show the questions on the screen, he said in an almost commanding tone, ‘Show the options quickly.’
Ishit, the epitome of self-confidence, answered the first four questions in a very arrogant manner. But this ‘speed run’ of Ishit finally got a break on the fifth question.
Amitabh Bachchan asked him, ‘What is the name of the first Kanda of Valmiki Ramayana?’ Till now, without even looking at the options, the e-ship which was giving answers to all the questions got stuck here. First he asked to be shown the options. Its options were – A: Child incident, B: Ayodhya incident, C: Kishkindha incident, D: War incident…
However, Ishit was Ishit…full of confidence…he once again answered without thinking. ‘Option B…’ When Amitabh asks him to think about his answer, he replies, ‘Sir, why not put one or four locks on it, but lock it.’ Then what… This answer was wrong and Ishit was thrown out of the show empty handed.
Many users on social media started trolling Ishit and expressing happiness over his leaving empty handed. Some people trolled the child, while many users said that it is not the child’s fault but his upbringing. One user wrote, ‘Very happy ending! The fault is not of the child, but of the parents. If you do not teach humility and patience to your children, then they become overconfident.
Is ‘Six Pocket Syndrome’ the reason…
Amidst this entire controversy, a new word started trending on social media… ‘Six Pocket Syndrome’. A user claimed that Ishit Bhatt’s behavior is the result of this psychological and social condition.
