Despite the strong acting of Abhishek Bachchan, the film ‘Dasvi’ does not seem to impress the audience much.

Dasvi Film Review: Abhishek Bachchan, Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur’s film Dasvi was released on the OTT platform on Thursday. Director Tushar Jalota’s film did not succeed in impressing the audience due to its weak story. Political atmosphere is shown in the film and Abhishek is seen speaking typical Haryanvi. Although Abhishek has definitely experimented with his character, but he too was not successful in sailing the film. In the film, he played the role of a corrupt CM Gangaram Chaudhary who is in jail on corruption charges. He completes his 10th class studies while staying in jail.
Such is the story of the film
In the film, Abhishek Bachchan plays CM Gangaram Choudhary, who has to go to jail after his name appears in a recruitment scam. After he goes to jail, his wife Bimla Devi i.e. Nimrat Kaur gets power. Bimla Devi gets frightened by the sudden power, but gradually becomes normal. Gangaram’s wife’s demeanor changes as she becomes intoxicated with power and she does not want her husband to ever come out of jail. While inside the jail, Gangaram is so impressed after listening to the words of IAS officer Jyoti Deswal i.e. Yami Gautam that he accepts her challenge and thinks of passing 10th from the jail itself. An attempt has been made to show a lot in the film regarding recruitment scam, caste and politics.
Showed strength in acting
Abhishek, who is a good actor, but due to the weak story of the film, his acting could not save the film. Nimrat Kaur has also done a good job and Yami Gautam’s part has also been a strong role. As always, Manu Rishi leaves an impact even in his small roles. You must have seen Arun Kushwaha doing a lot of comedy-mimicry on the small screen, and now he has left his impact on the big screen too. Abhishek Bachchan surprised everyone by speaking typical Haryanvi in the film. His look and style of the film were also liked a lot. But because of the weak story, everything looks bleak. Despite Abhishek Bachchan’s brilliant acting, the film failed due to its weak concept.
