But even then I wanted to stay in the field, wanted to work with my colleagues and get their respect, because I knew that I could last long.
Smriti also said that- I worked with full responsibility at the ground level and later became the state secretary in Maharashtra after Nitin Gadkari became president. I have five BJP presidents- Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, Amit Shah, J.P. Has worked with Nadda and Venkaiah Naidu. In 2004, I contested my first election at the age of 27.
