New Delhi. The news of divorce of popular television couple Mahhi Vij and Jay Bhanushali shocked the industry and fans. After 14 years of marriage, both of them confirmed their separation by sharing a joint statement on social media on January 4, 2026. They said that this decision is mutual, there is no villain and they will choose peace and take care of the children together. Now Mahi posted her first vlog after divorce and talked openly about her broken relationship and people’s questions. He not only slammed the trolls but also spoke openly on the alimony of Rs 5 crore.

Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij have now parted ways. Five days after making the divorce official, Mahi expressed her views openly for the first time. He reacted to the rumors, trolling and especially the false news of Rs 5 crore alimony spreading on social media. He clearly said that all this is ‘half-baked information’ and ‘fake narrative’, which affects his family and children.

‘We don’t like drama, fights and dirt’

Mahi said in a vlog on her YouTube channel, ‘Yes, I have separated from Jai. We are divorced, but remain good friends. We both are peaceful people, we don’t like drama, fights or negativity. We mutually decided that it was better to choose a different path. They told that both of them have taken this decision for the children. Mahi stressed that this decision was taken with mutual consent and there is no bitterness in it.

‘The children did not become orphans’

On online trolling, Mahi said, ‘It feels sad to read the comments – ‘Why did you adopt the children?’ Or ‘Why did you give birth to a child?’ Our bank account is not empty, we can take care of the children. It’s not that Jai ran away or I don’t have anything. All three children will live the same life as before. This is a good example for children that if a relationship does not work then it is not necessary to make it negative. We decided to part ways with respect, the children will make us proud. “The children are not on the streets or orphaned,” he stressed.

Rumors of Rs 5 crore alimony ‘extremely sad’

On alimony rumours, Mahi said sternly, ‘People are writing on Instagram that Mahi took Rs 5 crore alimony. Do not write anything with half-baked knowledge. They are doing this for likes by removing old videos. This is very sad because our parents and children also look at social media. He told that he will take equal responsibility of both the children and Jai’s family is still connected to him.

‘Divorce is no joke’

On trolls calling it ‘drama’, Mahi said, ‘Nobody wants to go through divorce. This is not a joke. Divorces are happening everywhere, not just in the industry. At least we handled it in a better and respectful manner. Let us tell you that Jai and Mahi’s marriage took place on 9 November 2011. In 2017, he adopted the domestic help’s two daughters and sons, Khushi and Rajveer. Daughter Tara was born in the year 2019. Both of them had won ‘Nach Baliye’ season 5.
