Shruti Haasan eager about the film

Speaking on the eve of the Indian premiere of her film, Shruti Haasan shared her curiosity and said, ‘Psychological thriller has always been a style that attracts me. It is incredibly exciting to be a part of the story that descends deeply in human feelings, sorrow and supernaturalism. Apart from the fact that the film has an interesting story and excellent production quality, which makes this project even more special is that it is made under a completely women -led production house, which coincides with my passion to support women in the film industry. In addition, the film advocates a permanent way of filmmaking, which the world needs in dire need. If we want to continue to tell our stories, then we should tell them in such a way that we should be conscious of our influence.

Director Defne Shamon interacted about the film

Talking about The I, director Defne Shamon said, ‘There is a love letter for The I Corfu, the island from where my family is and it is also a discovery of deep psychological impulses associated with sorrow. The story required an actor who could embodiment its emotional depth and complexity, and Shruti Haasan was perfectly suitable for it. His ability to follow Diana’s grief, parano and flexibility with such authenticity is indeed notable. Only an artist with a capacity like Shruti could do justice to this role, and he has done a great performance that will leave a permanent impact. ‘
