The teaser of ‘The Kerala Story 2 – Goes Beyond’, the official sequel of the film ‘The Kerala Story’ which created a stir at the box office and won the National Award in the year 2023, was released on Friday. This time the story is not limited to Kerala only, as its title makes it clear, it crosses the borders and hits upon a broader and sinister agenda of conversion.

The teaser shows the further story of three Hindu girls, played by Ulka Gupta, Aishwarya Ojha and Aditi Bhatia. Her characters fall in love with three Muslim boys, and their relationship later reveals an agenda of religious conversion.

The atmosphere of the teaser is tense and passionate, hinting at conflicts related to identity and faith. It shows how love is shown as a weapon that destroys identity and creates an environment where religious belief becomes a battlefield.

A key message of the teaser is that the three women are no longer passive victims. Instead, they stand against deception. The teaser emphasizes that they refuse to suffer the consequences any longer and decide to fight back.One of the standout moments of the teaser is the slogan: “Ab sahenge nahi. Ladenge!” This phrase is central to the message and atmosphere of the film.

The Kerala Story 2- Goes Beyond is produced by Vipul Amritlal Shah and co-produced by Ashish A Shah under the Sunshine Pictures banner. The release date of the film has been fixed for February 27.

The original film, The Kerala Story, was released in 2023 and received both widespread public support and controversy. The film starred Adah Sharma, Siddhi Idnani, Yogita Bihani and Sonia Balani in lead roles.

The story focused on some women from Kerala and their journey towards radicalisation, showing how they were led to convert to Islam and join the Islamic State.At the 71st National Film Awards, the film received two honors – Best Direction and Best Cinematography for Sudipto Sen.
