After the super success of ‘Dhurandhar’, now Ranveer Singh is ready for his next film, which is being called one of the biggest films of his career. Actually the actor will be seen in ‘Pralaya’. This is a zombie drama set during Covid-19, which will be directed by Jai Mehta. With this upcoming film, Hansal Mehta is betting big on genre storytelling. It is part of the growing slate of his production banner True Story Films and is said to be a post-apocalyptic zombie survival thriller.
Directed by Jai Mehta and produced in collaboration with Ranveer Singh’s banner Maa Kasam Films, ‘Pralaya’ is expected to blend action and horror elements and focus on survival in difficult situations and human relationships.

Talking about the film, Hansal Mehta said that the team aims to try something different in terms of genre storytelling. He said, “This is a film that has never been made before in India.” He also said that the idea is to present the zombie format with an Indian setting and an emotional core.
Although details about Ranveer Singh’s character are still a secret, interest in the project has increased with the actor’s involvement. With Ranveer Singh, known for playing different roles in different genres, joining a survival thriller, the expectations about the film have increased further.
‘Pralaya’ being made in a budget of Rs 300 crore
Filled with high-scale action and deep human drama, ‘Pralaya’ is the story of a family caught in crisis. If media reports are to be believed, the film is made on a huge budget of Rs 300 crore, and is the most expensive solo film of Singh’s career. Although ‘Dhurandhar’ was made on a larger scale, its two-part format divided the expenses.
Shooting and cast of ‘Pralaya’
The shooting of ‘Pralaya’ is going to start around May or June 2026, although the official announcement is yet to be made, but it is expected that Kalyani Priyadarshan will play the female lead role in it, which will be her Bollywood debut.
