Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ is in the news these days at the box office. This film, which was released in theaters today, is getting a great response from the audience and is being considered as a blockbuster as soon as it is released. However, he had to face some difficulties in the beginning of the film. Due to some technical problems on the very first day, shows had to be canceled in many theaters, causing a lot of trouble to the audience and theater owners.

Shows canceled in 500 theaters

In an interview with ETimes, Mumbai’s famous theater owner Manoj Desai has expressed his displeasure with the makers of the film. He says that the KDM (Key Delivery Message) required for showing the film was not sent on time, due to which shows were canceled in about 500 theaters across the country. Many shows in his own theaters Gaiety, Galaxy and Maratha Mandir also had to be canceled and KDM also arrived after about two hours. Due to this, thousands of tickets were canceled in multiplex chains also. Despite this, the film earned approximately Rs 43 crore in its paid preview shows.

What is KDM?

Let us tell you, KDM is a kind of digital key, without which no theater can play the film. This is used for security, so that the film can be shown only at the specified time and place. Artists like Ranveer Singh, Rakesh Bedi, Sara Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan and Arjun Rampal are seen in the second part of the film directed by Aditya Dhar. Despite the initial difficulties, many shows of the film are going housefull on the occasion of Gudi Padwa, which clearly shows that there is a huge craze for it among the audience. Also, the film has broken the records of many films by earning huge profits on the first day.
