The film on Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has got the green signal from the Bombay High Court. This film may now be released soon, the title of this film is ‘Ajay: The Untold Story of a Yogi’. The hearing was going on in the Bombay High Court regarding the release, the court had made it clear that first she will watch the film, then the order will be issued regarding it, after which the film makers are now relieved.
The Bombay High Court quashed the order of the CBFC Amendment Committee, which rejected the certification of the film ‘Ajay: The Untold Story of a Yogi’. CBFC initially expressed 29 objections on ‘Ajay: The Untold Story of a Yogi’. The Amendment Committee rejected 8 of them on August 17, but still CBFC refused to give certification to the film. ‘We found nothing objectionable’
After watching the film, Revathi Mohite Dera and Justice Neela Gokhale said that there is nothing that needs to be edited again. The court said- ‘We have seen the film in its context and we do not think that anything needs to be edited again. We have considered every point of your highlight. We have noted everything. We did not find anything objectionable.
No pornography in the film- Court
Senior Advocate Ram Apte, appearing for CBFC, argued that there is pornography in the film and it could be derogatory for Chief Minister Adityanath, while the court said that ‘Ajay: The Untold Story of a Yogi’ has neither porn nor abusive content. The court further suggested that CBFC may demand an additional disconnection stating that the film is a creative work and is based on fictional characters.
