The most awaited project of Indian cinema, Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayan’ has enthralled the audience with its first glimpse. On the auspicious occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, the teaser of the first part of the film was released, in which Ranbir Kapoor’s divine look as Lord Ram has been revealed. With a huge budget of Rs 4,000 crore, this film is going to be the most expensive film in the history of Indian cinema.
The teaser gives the audience the first and more glimpse of Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram. Ranbir Kapoor
Ranbir Kapoor is playing the role of Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari’s film ‘Ramayanam’. In this teaser titled ‘Rama’, the entire focus is on him, through which we get to see the first glimpse of his character.
Arun Govil
Arun Govil, who famously played the character of Lord Ram in Ramanand Sagar’s ‘Ramayana’, is seen in the teaser of ‘Ramayanam’. In this film, he is playing the role of Maharaj Dashrath, father of Lord Ram.
Ravi Dubey
Famous TV actor Ravi Dubey is debuting in Hindi films with ‘Ramayanam’. He plays the character of Lord Ram’s younger brother, Lakshmana, who follows him like his shadow from Ayodhya to Lanka. A small glimpse of his character is shown in the teaser.
Sai Pallavi
Famous Tamil and Telugu actress Sai Pallavi is playing the role of Mother Sita in ‘Ramayanam’. A glimpse of him has been shown in the teaser, but the makers of the film have kept his look a bit blurry, so that there is suspense to reveal his full look later.

Kannada superstar Yash, who became famous across India with ‘KGF’, is now making his Bollywood debut. He is playing the role of powerful Lankapati Ravana in ‘Ramayanam’. In the teaser, she is shown only from the back, so that her complete look remains a secret.
Before the teaser release, Alia Bhatt shared a video message on social media, in which she said that she would share it on her social media feed. She also appealed to the audience to support this film made with the hard work and love of her husband Ranbir Kapoor.
In the video message, Alia said, “A video of Ramayan is going to be released tomorrow. It is called ‘Ram Unit’. I will post it on my social media, so please watch it and support. Ranbir has done an amazing job and I can’t wait for you guys to watch it. It is really amazing.”
Budget
Ramayana has been made on a huge budget of Rs 4,000 crore. Speaking to Prakhar Gupta, producer Namit Malhotra told, “When we started making it six or seven years ago, people thought I was crazy, because no Indian film is even close to this scale. Simply put, the total budget of the two parts will be around $500 million, which is more than Rs 4,000 crore.”
He added, “We’re making the world’s biggest movie, based on a great epic that deserves to be seen around the world. And yet, I believe we’re making it more efficiently than some of Hollywood’s biggest movies. We’re not being irresponsible—we’re ambitious, but down to earth.”

A.R. Rahman and Oscar winner Hans Zimmer have worked together for the first time on this project.In an interview with ‘The Hollywood Reporter India’, Rahman talked about their big collaboration: “It’s a very scary experience for both of us. We’re doing music on something that’s so iconic and so important to the world. So in the promo, I think they created a soundscape; then I took that and added Sanskrit words on top of it and stuff. The hard thing is that we’re taking on an epic that’s Every Indian knows about it, and we have to give them something new. We have to give something to the world—from India to the world.”
The film is going to be released in two parts; Its first part will be released worldwide before Diwali in October 2026, while the second part is expected to release in Diwali 2027.Apart from Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol, Ravi Dubey and Yash are also playing important roles in this film.
