Actor-comedian Rajpal Yadav held a press conference in Mumbai on Saturday, where his lawyer Bhaskar Upadhyay made fresh allegations in the Rs 9 crore loan case related to his film Ata Pata Lapata. During the conversation, Rajpal also revealed that he has projects worth Rs 1200 crore in the next seven years, along with 10 films in the pipeline.
During the press conference, Yadav’s lawyer made claims against Madhav Gopal Agarwal of M/s Murali Projects Pvt Ltd, who had invested Rs 5 crore in Ata Pata Lapata. According to the legal team, the complainant’s actions were out of revenge rather than extortion of money.

The actor’s lawyer said, “He had said in the press conference that he never intended to send Rajpal to jail. This is not true.” The lawyer further said that Rajpal had earlier also tried to resolve the matter legally. “In 2018, Rajpal had deposited security amount in the court, and was also ready to attach his property papers, but Madhav Gopal Aggarwal refused and chose the path of sending him to jail. He is spreading lies and tarnishing Rajpal’s image. His motive was never money, but to see Rajpal in jail.”
Amidst the legal tussle, Rajpal also talked about his professional commitments and future plans. The actor told that apart from films, he has also signed many big branding agreements.

Rajpal also recently acknowledged the support he received during his legal troubles and said that people from across the country gave him financial and emotional support.
Talking about the support and “sympathy” he has received, he said, “In the last 20 days, I have received everything through social media, from children’s piggy banks to Rs 1 crore, and much more. I will issue a statement to thank them, and there are 4-5 people whom I want to mention in particular. I also want to thank those who do not wish to be named.”
He further said, “I want to thank them for their sympathy, but I also want to ask them to send me their bank details. I just need their time, but I will return everything to them with respect. However, I cannot repay the debt I owe to so many children across the country who stood by me.” Rajpal Yadav is known for his acting in films like Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Waqt: The Race Against Time, Phir Hera Pheri, Partner, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Hungama and Chup Chup Ke.
