Rajkumar Rao, one of the most versatile actors of Bollywood, recently came into the news for his changed look in a public event. After her pictures went viral on social media, fans expressed concern about her increased weight and falling hair (Altered Hairline). Now the actor himself has come forward and put an end to these speculations.
Rajkumar Rao clarified: Will always work hardest
Rajkummar Rao’s recent pictures from a public event on Sunday raised concerns among fans, with many pointing out his increased weight and changed hairline. As soon as his pictures spread online, social media was flooded with questions about the actor’s transformation.

Responding to the speculations, Rajkumar clarified on Instagram that the change was deliberate and was for his upcoming biopic Nikam. In a detailed note, the actor revealed that he recently finished shooting for the film and has undergone a physical transformation to actually play the character. The actor will play the role of public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam in the film.
“Being me is through my art,” she wrote, adding that she had to gain about 9-10 kilograms for the role. He explained that he deliberately avoided prosthetics, choosing instead to rely on physical changes brought about by diet and discipline. The transformation also included gaining weight, changing her look to appear older, and thinning her hair — something she admitted her hairstylist was initially against.

The actor also spoke about his past transformations, recalling how he went slightly bald for Bose, lost a lot of weight for Trapped, and completely immersed himself in the character while playing a blind man in Srikanth. As for Nikam, he said that he indulged in food like pizza, sweets, aloo parathas and biryani to achieve the required look, and stayed away from anything ‘glam’ to stay in line with the role.
Rajkumar expressed hope that the audience will recognize his efforts after the release of the film. He also revealed that he is now in a transition phase, trying to lose extra kilos to prepare for his next role. The actor is now in ‘Ganguly mode’, referring to his upcoming role as former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly, fondly known as Dada.
Ending his note on a loving note, Rajkummar assured fans that he will continue to work hard to engage and entertain them through his work.
