Prince Harry and Megan Markle, who left the British royal family and settled in America, are once again under sharp criticism. After a recent report by the prestigious entertainment magazine ‘Variety’, dark clouds have started looming over his future in Hollywood and his partnership with Netflix.
“Hollywood’s dream turns nightmare”
Royal family expert and commentator Kevin O’Sullivan described the couple as “toxic” for Hollywood during a discussion on ‘TalkTV’. He claimed that now no one is ready to work with him in the film city. O’Sullivan was quoted by the Daily Express as saying: “Nobody wants to work with him. Now he has no money coming in; his Hollywood dream has turned into a disaster. Isn’t it a nightmare?”
“Megan considers herself perfect”
Royal biographer Angela Levin also agreed with O’Sullivan. Levin believes that Megan never holds herself responsible for her problems. He said, “Meghan thinks she’s perfect. She thinks she’s the most amazing, intelligent and beautiful girl, whereas in life when things go wrong, we have to introspect.” Levin also mentioned an incident where he allegedly saw Meghan trying to steal the limelight with a pregnant friend.
Variety reports
Variety’s report included several shocking claims. According to sources, Megan considers Hollywood “her territory” and during conversations, she interrupts Harry’s words or diverts his thinking in another direction.
The couple’s attorney, Michael J. Comp gave a strong response to this claim. He called it a “misogynistic portrayal” of Meghan dictating to her husband. Prince Harry himself reportedly described the claim as “completely false”. Another claim in the report was that Megan would disappear for long periods of time during Zoom calls with Netflix teams. Her team reportedly later told Netflix employees that she was upset by something said during the meeting.
Megan’s lawyer responded to this. According to them, the former Duchess works from home and is a mother of two young children aged 4 and 6. He claims that the only reason for his absence was that his children would suddenly come into the room.
According to the Daily Express, it is being said that the couple has contacted lawyers regarding the article published in ‘Variety’. Levin reported that some words used in the article were immediately changed. He said “It’s both funny and sad. But, it’s surprising that the words were changed so quickly. It’s really interesting. They’re upset, as you say, because they don’t have much money. But, maybe they have enough money to teach people a lesson, and they won’t shy away from doing that.”
