Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has made a big announcement regarding his upcoming film. The film, which was earlier being promoted as ‘Battle of Galwan’, has now been retitled ‘Mathrubhoomi: May War Rest in Peace’. This film is based on the incident of conflict between India and China in the year 2020, in which actress Chitrangada Singh will also be seen in the lead role.
Why was the name of the film changed?
In an exclusive conversation with HT City, the film’s director Apoorva Lakhia clarified the change and said that this decision was not taken suddenly. He said, ‘From the beginning we had registered two names. As the shooting of the film progressed, we realized that this film is not just about a war. This film is about humanity, empathy and the struggles of our soldiers which are not visible to the world. He further said that the new title better represents the soul and spirit of sacrifice of the film.
