Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali, who is known for his deep and soulful love stories, is once again ready to take the audience on a nostalgia journey. After releasing the posters of their next film ‘Main Vaapas Aaunga’ on Friday, the makers have released the amazing teaser of the film at 1:00 pm.
Background of Partition and the Magic of the Internet
The story of the film seems to be a ‘cross-border’ love story woven around the India-Pakistan partition. As per the indications from the teaser:
Naseeruddin Shah and Vedang Raina: Vedang Raina appears to be playing the role of the younger avatar of veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah.
Sharwari Wagh: Sharwari is seen as the girlfriend of that era, whose story of separation is the center of the film.
Diljit Dosanjh’s character: In the teaser, Diljit plays the role of a ‘Youuber’ who tries to reunite Naseeruddin Shah with his old love with the power of internet and social media.
The teaser of ‘I’ll Be Back’ is now released
After sharing several posters on Friday, the makers also shared the teaser of the film at 1:00 pm. This first video of the film introduces the cast, and the teaser of Diljit’s song ‘Main Wapas Aaunga’ plays in the background. Additionally, it also seems that Vedang Raina will be playing Naseeruddin Shah’s younger days in the film, and Sharvari will be playing his youthful girlfriend.
Also, Diljit is seen playing the role of a YouTuber who tries to reunite Shah with his ex-girlfriend with the help of internet and social media. Although all these are just speculations, we will have to wait for the trailer of the film and the release of the film to confirm these speculations.
Diljit and Imtiaz’s second collaboration
It is worth noting that ‘I will be back’ is the second collaboration of Diljit Dosanjh and filmmaker Imtiaz Ali. Earlier they had worked together in Netflix’s film ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’.
