Kamal Rashid Khan is also known as KRK. A magistrate court granted bail to Khan. He was arrested by Andheri’s Oshiwara police station on January 23 for allegedly firing from his licensed weapon. Khan, in his bail plea, claimed that his arrest was ‘arbitrary’ and the case was an ‘abuse of the process of law by the investigating agency’. Police have said that the actor has admitted in his statement that he had fired two rounds from his licensed gun at Nalanda Society in Oshiwara area on January 18. During investigation, police found one bullet on the second floor and one bullet on the fourth floor from the society premises. According to the police, initially they did not get much success as there were no clues from the CCTV footage. However, forensic analysis revealed that the bullets were fired from a bungalow located near Khan. Advocate Sana Khan, representing the actor, argued that the intention behind the alleged crime could not be proved. Sana Khan argued that mere possession of 22 cartridges would have proved the accused guilty as under the armed forces rules, a licensed gun holder can purchase 200 cartridges in a year.
