The teaser of Nitesh Tiwari’s much awaited film ‘Ramayana’ is being released today on the auspicious occasion of Hanuman Jayanti. This is also the first official look of the film as its promotions begin worldwide. In this teaser, the first glimpse of Ranbir Kapoor’s character of ‘Lord Ram’ will be shown. This glimpse of the film titled ‘Rama’ has already been shown in the special screenings held in Los Angeles and New York, after which the excitement about the film is at its peak.
Ravi Dubey is busy preparing for his Bollywood debut with the role of Laxman in Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’, while his wife Sargun Mehta had earlier made a shocking revelation that she had no idea about this role of Ravi at all.
Sargun did not know about Ravi Dubey’s work in Ramayana
While speaking on Ranveer Allahabadia’s podcast last year, Sargun said that Ravi never discussed the project with him, even when news related to the film started surfacing online. Sargun Mehta said, “We don’t talk much about work at home. Just like Ravi doesn’t know anything about my work until my projects are announced. Similarly, I also don’t know about Ravi’s work until it comes in front of everyone.”
Sargun revealed that he learned about Ravi’s casting from someone else, and even then, he avoided asking Ravi about it directly. “Someone suddenly said to me, ‘Congratulations, Ravi…’ and I said, ‘Shut up. I don’t know what you’re talking about, we’re not allowed to tell each other, so don’t tell me. Then I read about it somewhere, and thought, ‘He didn’t even tell me, so I can’t even ask him!’
‘Going to work’
Even during the shooting of Ranbir Kapoor’s film, Ravi reportedly did not disclose things clearly. Sargun said that he had no idea that he was working on the sets of a film, because he never told any details. She said, “Whenever I asked Ravi where he was going, he would just say, ‘I am going for work,’ without mentioning that he was going for a film shoot.”
Ultimately his curiosity overpowered him, due to which he took a very surprising step. “I had no idea what was going on on the set. Once or twice I even asked the driver, ‘How is the atmosphere on the set?'” Ravi laughed and added, “That too, not about me, but about Ranbir (Kapoor).”
Ravi Dubey is debuting in Bollywood with Ramayana.
Ravi Dubey is going to debut on the big screen with ‘Ramayana’. He will be seen in the role of Laxman in the film. In this film, Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in the role of Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi Sita, Yash Ravana and Sunny Deol will be seen in the role of Hanuman.
Arun Govil, Kunal Kapoor, Adinath Kothare, Sheeba Chaddha and Indira Krishnan will also be seen in ‘Ramayana’ directed by Nitesh Tiwari. The first part of this much awaited film is going to be released on Diwali, while the second part is planned to be released in Diwali 2027.
