A shocking and interesting update has come out regarding filmmaker Nitish Tiwari’s ambitious project ‘Ramayana’. Earlier it was discussed that Bobby Deol has been selected for the giant role of Kumbhakarna, but according to the latest reports, actor Faisal Malik, who became famous with the role of ‘Prahlad Cha’ in the web series ‘Panchayat’, will now play the role of Kumbhakarna, brother of Ravana (Yash).

According to a report in Hindustan Times, actor Faisal Malik, who gained immense recognition for his role as ‘Prahlad Cha’ in ‘Panchayat’, has been selected for the role of Kumbhakarna. Kumbhakarna is Ravana’s brother, whose role is played by Yash. It is being told that the actor has completed the first schedule of shooting of this project. The film is expected to release in theaters this Diwali.
A source told the publication, “She shot with Yash for the introduction scene of Kumbhakarna at Prime Focus Studios in Mumbai. The shoot also included an international action team. These scenes are full of graphics – just like ‘Avatar’.”
The report further states that the big action scenes involving the character, which are part of the second half of the film, are yet to be shot. The source further said that Faisal Malik’s physique makes him perfect for this role. However, the makers of the film have not yet officially confirmed this casting, and Faisal Malik has also refused to comment on it.

There is also talk that Raghav Juyal’s name is being considered for the role of Meghnad, although this too has not been confirmed yet. It is being told that the first look of the film was planned to be released at the Gateway of India on the occasion of Ram Navami, but it has been postponed due to the ongoing crisis in the Middle East. For now, the makers of the film are keeping the details related to the cast under wraps.
‘Ramayana’ stars Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles, while Sunny Deol is playing the role of Hanuman and Ravi Dubey is playing the role of Laxman. The entire cast of the film will also include Arun Govil, Indira Krishnan, Lara Dutta, Sheeba Chaddha, Vivek Oberoi and Kajal Aggarwal in important roles.
