Amidst the success of Aditya Dhar and Ranveer Singh’s film ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, another story is touching people’s hearts. Actor Gaurav Gera, who is playing the role of Mohammad Alam in the film, is also in the news these days. His character in the film was very much liked, but he has struggled a lot to reach this position. Recently, remembering his old days, Gaurav shared a post which made the fans emotional.

A letter was sent to parents 28 years ago

Gaurav Gera shared pictures of his two old letters on social media and wrote in the caption, ‘I wrote this letter to my parents on 3 December 1998. When I came to Mumbai, not even a month had passed. If I think about it today, this is about 28 years old. There were no emails at that time, communication was done only through letters. The journey after this was quite long. TV, some films, ad films, musical plays, radio, then TikTok and reels, there were ups and downs in life, but the journey was beautiful. May God always be kind.

Further, Gaurav wrote, ‘Now I don’t know what will happen next after Dhurandhar. But I want to thank my 23-year-old Gaurav, who never lost hope, and also my parents, who supported me at every step.

Gaurav’s simplicity seen in letters

In these letters he wrote truthfully about his struggles, hopes and circumstances. He told that at that time he was getting work, but money was not coming. In the morning he used to meet different people in search of work and in the evening he used to do theater rehearsals. He also mentioned about the musical play named ‘Man of La Mancha’, in which working was a big thing for him. Also, he is living in a small house, where he is trying to keep his expenses low. He told his parents that the expenses would be high in the beginning, but he would soon manage everything. Now his post is becoming increasingly viral and fans are appreciating his work.
