Director Aditya Dhar’s high-stakes geopolitical action thriller ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ has created a tsunami at the box office. This Ranveer Singh starrer film has done the charisma in its first two days itself which takes weeks of work for big blockbusters. The film has entered the ₹200 crore club in the domestic market in just two days. According to trade website Sacnilk, the film grossed approximately ₹80.72 crore (net) on Friday, taking its total two-day collections in India (including Wednesday paid previews) to ₹226.27 crore (net).

Now that the film is heading towards the high-grossing Eid weekend, it is expected that its pace will pick up further. After a stellar opening of ₹103 crore and ₹146 crore (including previews), both Saturday and Sunday’s collections are expected to exceed initial estimates. ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ is aiming to join the coveted ₹500 crore club worldwide by the end of its opening weekend.

Wednesday (Paid Previews): ₹43 crore
Thursday: ₹103 crore
Friday: ₹80.72 crore
Total: ₹226.27 crore
Due to its wide release in India across 20,125 shows, the film’s domestic gross collection has increased to approximately ₹269.39 crore. According to a report by trade website Sacnilk, the majority of the earnings are coming from the Hindi market, where the film is running housefull and the occupancy is more than 63 percent.
Due to lack of mass release of dubbed films, earnings from the southern markets have been quite low. On the second day, the Tamil version earned ₹0.24 crore, Telugu ₹0.76 crore, Malayalam ₹0.01 crore and Kannada ₹0.02 crore.

The film, starring Ranveer Singh in the lead role, is now expected to cross the ₹100 crore mark on both Saturday and Sunday, taking its total opening weekend collection at the domestic box office to ₹450-500 crore (net). Directed by Aditya Dhar, ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ is a high-stakes geopolitical action thriller in which Ranveer plays Indian spy Hamza Ali Mazari, who infiltrates Pakistan’s terrorist-criminal network. In this film R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal and Rakesh Bedi will also be seen in important roles.
