According to the Times of India report, on September 10, Additional Sessions Judge Bhupinder Singh granted bail to Ashish Kapoor. Giving bail, the court also said that Kapoor is no longer necessary for investigation and bail was granted in his society keeping in mind the permanent residence and clean records in the society.

Defense logic
Ashish Kapoor’s lawyers Deepak Sharma, Ravish Dedha, Rajan Oberoi and Somesh Oberoi argued in the court that the complainant was drunk and was shown hugging several guests in the party. Deepak Sharma said that the allegations are false and have been levied only to recover money. He also informed that this year the complainant had filed a case against his landlord earlier.
What is the whole matter?
Ashish Kapoor was arrested on 2 September 2025 from Pune, Maharashtra. However, FIR was registered against him on 11 August 2025. The complainant alleged that the drug was added to his drink in the party, after which he was taken unconscious and taken to the washroom and raped a group. After police interrogation, on 6 September, the court sent Kapoor to 14 days judicial custody.
