Bobby Deol’s ‘Bandar’ avatar! First look of Anurag Kashyap’s film released, will hit the theaters on this day

Bollywood’s ‘Lord’ Bobby Deol is going through the best phase of his career these days. After the tremendous success of ‘Animal’, now the first look of his next film ‘Bandar’ has been officially released. The release date of this film directed by famous director Anurag Kashyap has also been announced.

 

 

The release date of this film directed by Anurag Kashyap has finally been revealed. The film will be released theatrically after its world premiere at the 50th Toronto International Film Festival. The film will clash at the box office with Milap Zaveri’s ‘Tera Yaar Hoon Main’ starring Aman Inder Kumar, Akanksha Sharma and Paresh Rawal.

Bandar will also star actors like Bobby, Sanya Malhotra and Saba Azad. This film will be released in theaters on May 22. The first official poster of the film showed a close-up of Bobby’s face, shown between two worlds.

 

Anurag Kashyap, who is now looking for acting roles in films, talked about directing Bandar. He told Variety, “The idea came from a true story, but obviously we had to work on very fine lines. You don’t know who is right, who is wrong. There was a lot of misuse of the new laws, in which a woman, with the help of a lawyer and a policeman, filed eight different cases at eight different police stations.”

He told that the film was made when producer Nikhil Dwivedi gave him a newspaper article about a real-life case. Dwivedi further said, “As a filmmaker, I like different types of stories. As much as possible, I try to avoid differentiating between them as commercial or offbeat. I liked this subject very much.”

Meanwhile, Bobby’s brother Sunny Deol’s new film, Gabru, is scheduled to release on May 8, as reported by the same media portal. The film was earlier scheduled to release on March 13. Official confirmation is awaited from Sunny and the film team.
