Well-known Bengali film actor Rahul Arunoday Banerjee has passed away at the age of 43. He lost his life due to drowning in the sea at Talasari beach in Odisha on Sunday. His fans are shocked by this sudden incident and the entire Bengali entertainment world is in mourning.

One last video of Rahul has surfaced on social media, which is during the shooting of his show ‘Bholebaba Paar Karega’. In this video, Rahul is seen acting on the road with one of his female co-stars wearing a green shirt. It is being told that he had gone towards the sea shortly after the shooting was over. When he did not return for a long time, the crew members saw him drowning. He was immediately pulled out of the water and taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Show producer Leena Ganguly has expressed deep sorrow over this incident. While talking to ‘Anandabazar Patrika’ he said, ‘How can one remain okay in such a situation? There was no scene related to water in the screenplay. I have heard that many people advised him not to go into the water, but he did not listen to anyone. I was not present at the spot at that time.
At the same time, an officer of West Bengal Police said, ‘We have contacted Odisha Police for complete information about the incident. A case of unnatural death has been registered at Digha police station. We are also interrogating the production team and eyewitnesses.

The family appealed for privacy
Rahul leaves behind his wife Priyanka Sarkar and 13-year-old son Sahaj. Although Rahul and Priyanka separated in 2018, they started living together again in 2022 for the future of their son. Priyanka has appealed to the media and people to maintain privacy in this difficult time. He wrote, ‘This is a time of deep sorrow for us.
