The trailer of Yo Yo Honey Singh: Famous is now out and the makers have given a glimpse into the life of the singer-rapper. The trailer traces the journey of India’s music sensation from his windowless life in a simple house to his successful rise in Bollywood.

The trailer also shows the controversial aspect of Honey Singh’s life, highlighting the controversies surrounding his songs and the problems he faced due to a huge fall from rise to rise. The trailer of the documentary was released by Netflix on Tuesday and it shows Honey Singh’s journey from poverty to riches and then his sudden disappearance.
The video shows old footage of Honey Singh from his childhood days in which he used to play sitar and his passion later made him a top musician. Honey Singh revealed that his house has no windows, but that hasn’t stopped him from dreaming big. Superstar Salman Khan also appeared in the trailer and congratulated the rapper in a special way. Salman appreciated Honey’s art and said, ‘Honey has one thing which no one else has, that is ‘Yo Yo Honey Singh’.

The trailer shows his legal troubles after being accused of making obscene songs, his health issues and more. The trailer will definitely bring tears to the eyes of all his fans. His parents also make a brief appearance in the trailer and are seen getting emotional as they remember how they helped Honey.
In a statement, Honey Singh said, ‘There has been countless speculations about me in the media over the years, and I have never shared my side of the story. This documentary is the right opportunity to tell my story. My fans have always stood by me, even in my absence, and for that I will always be grateful to them. She also said, ‘This documentary film goes beyond the spotlight to reveal the real me – the ups and downs and everything in between. I’m excited to finally share my journey with the world.
Director Moze Singh said that Honey gave him unprecedented access into his life and added, ‘The fact that he trusted me with his story means a lot to me not just as a filmmaker but as a human being. is also a real moment of truth.’
Producers of the documentary, Guneet Monga Kapoor and Achin Jain, said, ‘We are excited to share the untold aspects of the journey of one of India’s most beloved music icons – there is hardly anyone who has grooved to at least one of his songs. We may not have done so, and now the time has come for us to know them in their true form without any filter.
Yo Yo Honey Singh: Famous will premiere on Netflix on December 20.
