Ajay Devgan’s Son of Sardar director Ashwini Dheer’s 18-year-old son Jalaj Dheer died in a tragic car accident in Vile Parle, Mumbai on November 23. According to reports, Jalaj had invited his friends to his house in Goregaon to play video games. Later, he and his three other friends – Sahil Mendha (18), Sarth Kaushik (18) and Jaden Jimmy (18) went for a drive. After stopping at a restaurant, they were returning when Sahil, who was driving, lost control of the car and it hit the divider on the Western Express Highway. The car was being driven at high speed by Sahil, who was allegedly under the influence of alcohol. When their car reached near Sahara Star Hotel, Sahil was confused whether to take the flyover or the service road to go to Goregaon. Zedan said in his complaint that in the process he lost control of the wheels and ultimately the car fell on the highway. It collided with the divider pole.

18 year old Jalaj Dheer and his friend Sarth Kaushik died tragically in this accident. They were taken to the hospital after the accident, but both died. The driver, 18-year-old Sahil Mendha, was arrested following the statement of the fourth passenger in the car, Zedan Jimmy. Police have also sent Mendha’s blood samples for testing for alcohol. According to Jimmy, Mendha drank two pegs of vodka at Jalaj’s house in Goregaon before the group went for a drive around 3:30 in the morning. Mendha was driving at a high speed of 120-150 km/hr and lost control of the car near Sahara Star Hotel, leading to the accident.

After this tragedy, Jimmy files a complaint with the police, which leads to Mendha being arrested. Ashwini Dheer is a famous film director and screenwriter. He has also written and produced several TV serials. He has directed films like One Two Three, Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge?, Son of Sardar and Guest in London and has also produced Chidiya Ghar.
