Famous OTT platform Netflix has announced the official release date of its upcoming film ‘Ikka’ on Saturday. This courtroom drama film, starring the strong acting of Sunny Deol and Akshay Khanna, is going to hit the digital screens directly on July 10, 2026. Directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra, this film is historical in many ways. This is not only Sunny Deol’s first film (OTT debut) in the world of OTT, but it is also becoming a medium for the great comeback of many big artists.

Directed by director Siddharth P Malhotra, the film brings the two actors together again on screen after almost three decades. Earlier, both had appeared together in director JP Dutta’s war-based film ‘Border’ released in 1997.
In the film ‘Ikka’, Sunny Deol plays the role of a famous lawyer who is forced to defend a man linked to his past. Akshay Khanna is playing the role of this person. This case puts both his principles and his family to the test. In the film, Tillotama Shome plays the role of a public prosecutor, who will appear in the court against Sunny Deol’s character. Meanwhile, Dia Mirza is playing the role of Sunny Deol’s wife. This is Sunny Deol’s first film in the world of OTT, and after 33 years he will again be seen playing the role of a lawyer in a film.

Before this, he played the role of a lawyer in the 1993 film ‘Damini’. Director Malhotra said that the subject has been very close to his heart for many years. He said, “As a storyteller, I am always looking for stories that challenge me both emotionally and creatively and ‘Ikka’ has been one such journey. I have always been a big fan of court drama films.
