Alefia Kapadia was in love with a Sikh boy
In an interview given to Siddharth Kanan, Alefiya spoke openly about the mental abuse and beatings she faced in her marriage. Alefiya told that when she was 18 years old, she had fallen in love with a Sikh boy, but both of their family members were against this relationship. Alefiya said, ‘This relationship was not broken because of religion. My parents are liberal regarding religion. His ego was hurt, which became the reason for the breakup of the relationship. The boy’s father was a powerful person in Madhya Pradesh. He called my father on the landline and said such things that anyone would go mad with anger.
Father slapped hard
The actress further said, ‘The boy’s father said that your daughter lives at my son’s house. Do you know how many months they have been having an affair? There is no place for your daughter in my house. Make your daughter understand, otherwise it will not be good. After hearing this, my father slapped me hard in my sleep. That was the hardest slap of my life. My father was devastated. I was not allowed to talk to boys.
Married at the age of 21
Alefiya told that after this incident her father got her married at the age of 21. Alefiya was married to a man from Dubai, who was about 11 years older than her, but now they are divorced. Alefiya’s marriage was no less than trauma. She was physically and emotionally abused. She has two children, which have been taken away from her by her ex-husband. The actress tried to save the relationship for years.
What did Alefiya Kapadia say?
Alefiya said, ‘My in-laws’ house was in Dubai and there was no maid there. There one had to do all the household work oneself. From sweeping and mopping to utensils and cooking, everything had to be done by oneself. There was a lot of taunting in the in-laws house and due to family pressure I had to have a child. The husband would say obscene things, physically assault her and would pick up any thing and throw it and hit her.

Alefiya Kapadia assaulted
Alefiya wanted to work and one day when she asked her husband to do a part-time job, he beat the actress badly. It was then that Alefiya had decided that she could no longer live in this marriage. She told that her husband had confiscated her passport and did not allow her to go to India. Not only this, during this time a threat was made to separate the children from Alefiya. Eventually she somehow reached the Indian Embassy, got her medical done there and went to the police station. After this the husband also accused her of having bad character.
Husband snatched away both children
Alefiya said, ‘He was running away with my 7-year-old daughter, I somehow pulled my son towards me. A police case happened. The daughter wrote a letter to me saying that my mother makes me drink alcohol, burns me, beats me, my mother is having an affair. He has provoked my daughter. Forced him to write a letter against me. I knew that all this was done by my husband. The very next day I filed a divorce petition and our case continued for 12 years. However, I did not get the custody of my daughter and after a few years I went into depression. There was a shortage of money and my son was getting influenced by seeing his father’s lavish life. Finally, after getting tired, I gave the custody of my son to my husband.
Actress yearns for children
Alefiya told that both the children live with her ex-husband and do not talk to him. He said, ‘I don’t know where and in what condition my children are, because I have not seen my children for years. Being a mother, I always yearn for her.
