Bollywood’s ‘Kabir Singh’ fame actress Kiara Advani is known for her outspoken and serious thinking. After giving birth to a lovely daughter last year, Kiara, along with this beautiful journey of becoming a mother, has also exposed the bitter truth that every common and special woman of the country has to go through. In a recent interview, she made a sharp attack on the ‘toxic’ attitude of the society regarding the looks and increased weight of women after the birth of a child.

‘Goddess during pregnancy, fat after birth’ – double face of society
While talking exclusively to Bombay Times, 34-year-old Kiara Advani told how after the birth of a child, the society’s perspective on women completely changes. Referring to the society’s harsh criticism, Kiara said: “When you’re pregnant, everyone compliments you. People say, ‘Oh my God, you’re glowing, this, that.’ But the moment you give birth to a child, the entire narrative changes. People immediately start saying – ‘Now she is looking fat, she is looking a little like this, she is looking a little like that.’ They immediately start expecting you to be in perfect shape again.”
Kiara further said that during pregnancy a woman is treated like a goddess, but the real struggle starts after the birth of the child. Holding a mirror to the society, she said, “The time after the birth of a child is the most difficult for a woman, and this is the time when she needs the most mental and emotional support, and not body shaming.”
There will be new improvement in acting after becoming a mother
Kiara also threw light on the fact that this beautiful feeling of becoming a mother has completely changed her outlook on work and life. He said in a very positive manner, “I feel that the directors who will work with me now will get to see the best version of me on screen. This entire journey has opened up a completely new and deep aspect within me, in my life and in the way I understand the world.”
Kiara will be seen with Yash in ‘Toxic’
Talking about the work front, Kiara Advani will soon be seen in a very powerful character in the much awaited film ‘Toxic – A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups’ with South’s rockstar Yash. This is a period gangster drama film, which is being handled by National Award winning director Geetu Mohandas.

In December 2025, superstar Yash shared Kiara’s first look from this film on social media platform X, in which he announced that Kiara is playing the lead character of ‘Nadia’ in this film. This film was directed by Venkat K. Narayan and Yash together are producing on a grand level under the banners of KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations respectively.
