What is CJP?
‘Cockroach Janata Party’ recently went viral on social media after some controversial comments by the Chief Justice of India sparked widespread outrage online. In these comments he compared young Indians using social media to “cockroaches” and “parasites”. After this Abhijeet Dipke started this meme-based political satire movement.
At the time, Dipke was reportedly applying for jobs in Boston. The voices raised in protest against these comments helped the movement gain popularity rapidly, and within a few days millions of people became its followers. What started as an internet joke later became a broader commentary on unemployment, youth frustration and political discourse in the digital age.
