The discussion of making a film on writer Amish Tripathi’s famous book ‘The Immortals of Meluha’ has been hot in the film circles for a long time. Since Tuesday morning, the news was going viral that Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh has bought the rights of this book series by paying a huge amount. Fans had assumed that Ranveer would now be seen playing the role of Lord Shiva on screen, but a statement by writer Amish Tripathi has shocked everyone.

Rejecting these reports circulating on the internet, Amish Tripathi has made it clear that he has not sold the rights of his book to anyone. During an interview, he told that the rights of ‘Shiva Trilogy’ are still reserved with him and no such deal has been signed with Ranveer Singh. However, Amish definitely said that he respects Ranveer Singh’s work a lot, but at the moment this news is just a mere rumour.
