Dhruv Sarja starrer much-awaited Kannada film ‘KD: The Devil’ has come under controversy even before its release. After the uproar over a song of the film, the trailer of the film has now been removed from YouTube. According to the information, this action has been taken due to the inclusion of ‘non-certified content’ in the trailer. This song was removed from YouTube due to its obscene lyrics. Although the makers recently released the trailer of the film, within a few days it was removed from YouTube due to “uncertified content”.

KD: The Devil trailer removed from YouTube due to ‘uncertified content’
An official statement from KVN Productions read, “The trailer of KD: The Devil that was recently released on YouTube inadvertently included non-certified content during the certification process. Therefore, we have removed the trailer and will soon upload a modified version in compliance with the certification rules. We deeply regret this omission and are fully committed to complying with all certification rules.”
Earlier, the Hindi version of the song “Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke” starring Nora Fatehi and Sanjay Dutt had faced a lot of criticism online due to its vulgar lyrics. Along with social media users, celebrities like Kangana Ranaut and Armaan Malik also criticized the song and expressed their disappointment.

Apart from this, advocate Vineet Jindal had also filed a legal complaint against this song, in which he had demanded immediate action against it. Later, this song was removed from YouTube.

Kannada action thriller film KD: The Devil stars Dhruv Sarja in the lead role, while actors like Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty, V Ravichandran, Ramesh Aravind, Reeshma Nanaiya and Jisshu Sengupta will be seen in supporting roles. The film is scheduled to release on the big screens on Friday, 30 April 2026. Dhanush’s Tamil drama film Kara will also be released on the same day, which will be a direct competition to this film.
This film has been produced under the banner of KVN Productions. This production house has earlier produced films like Thalapathy Vijay’s film Jana Nayagan and KGF fame Yash’s film Toxic.
