Deepika Kakkar had liver cancer surgery last year. Since then, the actress and her husband Shoaib Ibrahim keep sharing their health updates and other things with fans on their YouTube channel. In the new video shared on Shoaib’s channel, Deepika told that she got the MRI scan done every month, but during this time she could not stop herself from getting emotional.
Deepika Kakkar cried a lot before undergoing MRI
Deepika and Shoaib told on their YouTube channel that both of them have returned after getting their monthly MRI scan done, which the doctor has advised to do regularly. Shoaib shared that this was the first time that he completed it in one go and hoped it would be good. Deepika said, “I was nervous… I cried, I cried before going into the machine, and I cried in the machine too. Sometimes crying helps a lot because your anxiety goes away. For me, it helps a lot. I think you come out stronger, so it works for me.”
Deepika and Shoaib further accepted that they were very busy for the last one week, so they did not get a chance to spend much time with their son Ruhaan. Shoaib also gifted a pair of sunglasses to Deepika after she successfully got the MRI done.

Later, Shoaib told that the test results have come, and he and Deepika talked about it in detail. Shoaib said, “Two small dots have emerged in the MRI.” Deepika said that these two dots are really very small, and the doctor said that it would not be wise to take any action right now. But after a month the scan will have to be done again for testing. We have to do regular scans, so that if it comes again, treatment can be done immediately.” Shoaib also told that Deepika is going to start immunotherapy from this week.

Deepika Kakkar had to undergo surgery for stomach cyst on 23 February. Deepika has been battling stage 2 liver cancer for the last few months. In June 2025, the Sasural Simar Ka actress had undergone tumor removal surgery. Since then, Deepika has been sharing her health journey on her YouTube channel, which includes her chemotherapy experience, emotional ups and downs and the steps she has taken towards gradual recovery. Both Deepika and Shoaib post regular updates on their respective vlogs, due to which fans stay connected with them and get information about everything.
