Was born in a legendary family
Asha Bhosle was born to Dinanath Mangeshkar. After the death of their father, the responsibility of the family fell on the children and they had to start working at an early age. His elder sister Lata Mangeshkar was already a big name in the world of music and his sisters Usha Mangeshkar and Meena Khadikar and brother Hridaynath Mangeshkar were also associated with music. It was not easy to create one’s own identity in such a big and famous family, but Asha Bhosle proved herself with her different style and hard work.
Got married at the age of 16
There were many ups and downs in his personal life also. At the age of 16, she married Ganpat Rao Bhosale without the permission of her family, where she had to face mental and physical violence. At the time of her third pregnancy, she was thrown out of her in-laws’ house and the couple separated in 1960. 
After some time, she married famous musician R.D. Burman, with whom she gave many hit songs. She has three children from Ganpat Rao, Hemant, Anand and Varsha, whom she raised single-handedly.
Asha Bhosle had lost two children
Even after enduring so much, his troubles did not diminish. In 2015, he lost his son Hemant, who was suffering from cancer. Also, his daughter Varsha also died in 2012. Despite this, she never gave up and continued working. Today his granddaughter Janai Bhosle is also trying to carry forward this legacy and is active in music.
