A new chapter has been added in the history of Indian cinema. Directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh, the film ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ has created a stir at the box office even before its release. The film has shattered all the pre-release records of Indian cinema by earning a gross of Rs 52 crore through its paid premiere shows.
The film’s earnings from paid premiere shows have even surpassed the figures of its first part and grossed over Rs 52 crore in India. The paid premiere shows of Aditya Dhar’s Hindi-original film were shown on more than 12,000 screens across the country.
According to tracking website ‘Sacnilk’, the second part of the film has registered a net (after deducting tax from gross earnings) collection of Rs 44 crore at the domestic box office. The film’s total (gross) collection from 12,292 shows across India now stands at Rs 52 crore. With this, ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ has shattered all existing records for paid premiere of any Indian film.
The second part of the film has also left behind the opening day figure of Rs 33 crore of ‘Dhurandhar’. Although the ticket prices for the paid preview of ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ were kept quite high, the excitement about the film was at its peak among the audience. Several shows were scheduled at 5:30 pm on 18 March across India, but they had to be canceled due to delays in the delivery of the film’s content. According to the theater chain, the process of refunding the ticket money had also been started.

Despite delays and show cancellations, fans flocked to theaters in large numbers to watch ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’. As per early reports, this second part of the film is expected to dominate all the box office records and is heading towards a historic success, which will probably surpass the success of its first part.

Apart from Ranveer Singh, the film also stars R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi also star in lead roles. The first part of the film was released in December 2025 and earned Rs 1,300 crore worldwide.
